We are the front office staff that handles your reception and registration needs and the first ones to greet our patients and families. As part of our policy for registration, you will need to complete our intake form on your initial visit or update this information upon your return visit. It is important that you bring your insurance card with you for every appointment.
We are happy to also assist with scheduling appointments and answer any questions you may have regarding referrals, insurance verifications and authorizations.
Once you have completed the check-in process, you/your child will be greeted by a member of our clinical staff, either a medical assistant or a nurse. You/your child will have some testing done that will include HT, WT, BP and ECG. None of these tests are painful. Sometimes, though, some of the smaller children can be fearful of the blood pressure cuff or the ECG electrode stickers we use. Our clinical staff has many years of experience and they work very hard to make patients and families as comfortable as they can as well as make the testing go as smoothly and as quickly as possible.
We perform an echocardiogram, which is an ultrasound of the heart and a test that is non-invasive. We image infant hearts through adulthood, as well as perform prenatal imaging.
We are Certified Professional Coders with numerous years of experience in the medical billing industry. We are available on site or by phone to assist you with an explanation of the charges billed, your insurance carrier response and any other billing questions or concerns.
As Administrative Assistants for PCA, we coordinate correspondence generated from your visit between the physicians and the referring doctors. We also coordinate their schedules for teaching, conferences, meetings and schedule cardiac MRI testing.
